Ok, so I'll probably sound petty since I know a lot of people can't afford good PC's and I'll probably sound blessed to them so here it goes. My PC is fairly good, these are her specs (yes her)
Intel Core i5 4430 3.0GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM
Radeon R9 390 8GB
1TB HDD
So recently I started playing Minecraft again. I played a lot back in like 2011 when i was younger, but i haven't played it like seriously for about 2 years now. I'd hop on once in a while, sometimes my little cousins would come over and play. But the last time i remember playing i had my old GPU, the GTX 750ti. On that card, i got around 150-200 FPS average. I was doing pretty well back then. Well now ive recently upgraded to the R9 390 8GB card which is pretty high-end. I watched youtube videos of people playing with this card averaging like 300-350fps. However, I booted up the game recently and clicked F3, My FPS is averaging floating around 60-70 FPS. Dont know why, but it kinda ticks me off. Yeah of course, 60-70 is plenty for the average player right? But if your computer was this good and it drops those kinda frames, wouldn't you be kinda pissed? This is also worse for me cause i wanted to try out shaders aswell, and those take up a lot of power, and if the normal game runs at those frames the shaders would probably cause me around 30-40fps. I can drop 60-70 FPS max settings battlefield 4, 65FPS average on GTA V with almost maxed settings, why is minecraft doing so poorly? I haven't installed anything to the game, i havent touched anything besides the in game settings, and i reinstalled many times and nothing works. Please Help guys!
