I want to start my own village. I have built the houses and a trap for zombie villagers. I know I am catching the zombie villagers because of the clothes they are wearing. I am able to trap them in a cobblestone structure behind a gate. I am able to splash them with the weakness potion and I see the grey bubbles. When I try to feed them the apple I can't let it go. If I hold it too long I start to eat it. It is not an enchanted apple, I used ingots not blocks to make it. I tried leaving the apple sit in the trap but it vanished. I have wasted so much potion and gold ingots. Please help. I am on a mac and I am right clicking and clicking on the zombie. I can hit the zombie with the apple but if I hold the ctrl key down it won't let go. I have looked all over online and can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I am in survival mode. Please help. Your problem: Thats not a zombie villager. Just a normal Zombie.
Yes it is wearing clothes, just not the ones that Zombie villagers wear.
