im playing on minecraft 1.7.10 and my render distances gets up only to 16 but my brother have his render distance to 32 we both have java 8 and 64 operating system please any one help i will put an image to show you my java download.
Just because you have a 64bit Java installed doesn't mean that you are actually using it.
