Well, I changed the settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel so that Minecraft (and other games I suppose) uses the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M instead of the Intel HD Graphics. I was getting around 60FPS with the Intel HD Graphics but it went down to 30FPS when I began using the NVIDIA Graphics Card! Is there any solution to this? I'd really like to be able to run this game as good as possible so I'd like to know how to get better FPS results.

Make sure that Vsync is off, NVIDIA likes to use adaptive vsync, so it'll cap at 30 or 60 fps if its not a steady 60+fps.

Curse PremiumPlease make sure your Nvidia Geforce drivers are up to date using Geforce Experience. Low FPS, isn't common on these GPU's.
