My client doesn't allow me to connect to certain servers. I have no idea what is causing the problem, nor do I know how to fix it. I've tried numerous things including;
It only seems to allow me to connect if using a VPN, and I don't want to play with a VPN because for me, it creates awful lag. I receive 65mbps-100mbps using my router.
I can't think of anything else to do, the problem may be in my networking plugins (I highly doubt since it's worked for so long.)
Please help! If you have questions about my methods, please ask.
==UPDATE==
Trying to connect from a different system, if it allows me, I know the problem is in my system.
Just tried, the servers won't work on just my wifi, ruling out my specific network drivers.
I'm thinking it may be a port block.
I also feel it's important to let you know I'm using the Windows 7 Operating System. (64 bit)
Please understand, I've tried re-adding the server and checking it's IP to make sure it's correct. I've tried everything basic + the stuff previously posted.
according to the bot i used to test guildofminecrafters.org and stoneburnergaming.com both show as down and 2b2t.org shows as up and in use by 150 players.
whats the exact error you get when trying to connect?

For stoneburner, I checked it from the top of my head. I've corrected the IP.
The error message before I connect it says, "Cannot reach server." Not "Cannot resolve hostname."
When I connect it reads, "Connecting to server..." then after a bit, "java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: no further information:"
No "Logging in..."
Try turning off firewall/antivirus. Your error message means that Minecraft can't find a server with the IP address you have. Firewall or antivirus might block connections.

I've completely disabled it. Unfortunately, it only works with a VPN. I've found 2b2t's source IP and I've tried to connect using that. No help.

I didn't want to resort to this, but I'm going to reset everything on my router. A complete reset. If that doesn't fix it, I don't know what will. Wish me luck!
Something can could work try a fresh install of minecraft. At this point i cannot think of anything that has been already.
Already done, I've reinstalled and used system recovery. Along with using a different system connected to my WiFi, I'm sure the issue is with my ISP. I don't know if I should contact them though.

I FIXED IT!
FINALLY!
So I had VPN services on my PC. (Voting multiple times on servers.)
I was so fed up, all you have to do-
1.) Turn on VPN
2.) Connect to server
3.) Turn off VPN while still in the server
4.) Restart minecraft
5.) Log in and it shows up again!
