Please help. I'm not all that technical and am overwhelmed trying to find answers on the forum. I know this "Pixel Format Not Accelerated" error message is on other posts but it's all going over my head and I was hoping someone could look at my system information and give suggestions on how to fix it.
I've done my very best to get Minecraft installed for my son on our Hanspree Laptop SN12E200 which was recently updated in the past few months from Windows 7 to Windows 10. (We never tried it when it was Windows 7 so I don't know if it would have worked then or not) I've tried the steps on this site: http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/pixel-format-not-accelerated/ but we still get a crash report (I've pasted it below)
When I ran DriverTookKit, it showed that I have the most up to date Display Adapter, which is from 2012 so I'm wondering if our laptop is so old that they don't provide drivers for it anymore? This is the display adpater (driver?) it says we have:
Mobile Intel (R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Family WDDM 1.1 was installed 7-23-2012 and is the most current driver there is for our computer.
Please, if anyone can help, I'd be so grateful. I hope the info I've given is helpful but if not I can provide more to the best of my ability. Thanks in advance for your patience and for explaining it in simple terms.

Unfortunately, this is the wrong forum to post the question in. This forum is for the "Minecraft Windows 10 Edition beta" version of Minecraft which is a completely different game than the one you are having trouble with.
The following post will explain the difference and point you in the right direction of where you should post your question.
Thank you. So I admit I had thought I had installed Minecraft Windows 10 Edition beta. (sorry, I know I sound clueless) Would that work with my system, or do I need to ask that on the other forum?
If you have purchased the regular Java version of Minecraft, you are entitled to a free copy of the Windows 10 edition of the game. Check on the Mojang website about how to get your redemption code and how to go about installing it.
If you just want to purchase the Windows 10 edition of the game, you can find it in the Windows store. It's only $10 US to purchase it.
In general, if you can run Windows 10 on your computer, you should be able to run Win10 (short for "Minecraft: Windows 10 Beta Edition"). But, his is a discontinued, way underpowered laptop.
As much as I hate to say it, he'll be much better off trying to run it (and everything else!) on newer, more powerful laptop. Amazon has some that will work just great, for as little as $240 (15" screen, 4 gig ram, name brand processer, in a name brand computer).
