So I had a client with some mods in it, with Forge being not the latest version (the recommended one). Then I've decided to install another mod, which as I found out later needed a newer version of Forge. So I went ahead and installed it. Everything worked fine.
*something you need to know*
I have an FTP server on which I store my client. This is so that me and my friends can share the same exact clients (with all the mods, forge versions etc.). We'll also have a Minecraft server started up soon, which will use the FTP server's client.
*moving on*
Now, the client that I used was my own client, I didn't upload it to FTP before I tested it. But now that I updated Forge, I've copied my client to the server. And that's where the problem started.
*something else you probably want to know*
I am using my own launcher so that it automatically downloads file from the FTP. For testing, however, I use regular Minecraft launcher.
*moving on again*
After I copied ALL of the files from my client and tried to go into the game using my launcher, Minecraft doesn't even start. There is no log or crash-report created (which is weird). There isn't even a Minecraft window. Instead, I get a dialogue box, which only says "java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException" and has an OK button on it. After pressing that, it closes, and I did check task manager - Java isn't running, so it did close. The original client still works. One using FTP doesn't. Yup, I did double-check that I've uploaded all the files. I even double-uploaded them, still no result.
Any help would be exceptionally highly appreciated.
