So I have purchased a gaming computer to play all of those new games that require great specs to play, but installed Minecraft on it as well. However,Minecraft runs at constant 10-15fps on lowest settings w/ Optifine and on 8fps without it.
Here are my specs(I looked for the best I could afford, but Im not 100% sure if they are good):
Intel i7 6700k
GA-Z170X(Gigabyte)
GE Force GTX 970(is compatible and runs fine)
16GB of ram(8 allocated to Minecraft)
All other requiered things are there
Im running Windows 10
This setup can handle some games that have insane graphics, but can't handle MC at lowest settings...I just don't get it.
(I have an old computer but I would prefer playing on this one.I spent a lot of money of it,I think I deserve to atleast play Minecraft on it.
Does anyone have a similar problem?
Minecraft runs perfectly fine on my old computer,so is it the computers fault?
(Sorry if there is anything unclear, its just too odd so Im not sure what else to write)
You have way way to much ram allocated to minecraft. To much can be harmful to the rest of your pc and could slow it down more. Try reducing the ram you have allocated to about 2-4gb. Also, make sure you have both 64 and 32 bit versions of java installed. Lastly, If you are using optifine, make sure you arent using the internal shaders option and make sure antialiasing is off.

Thanks,I didnt have the 32bit Java,it works fine after installing it.(I didn't realise it was missing, silly me)
PS You can allocate half of your total RAM,but not more.My old PC had 8GBs of RAM and worked fine with 4 allocated.
