Hi recently minecraft has been working fine until about 10 seconds after joining both single player and multiplayer worlds. In the first 10 seconds it will run at a normal 40-60fps then it will decrease and lock to an fps range of 14-16 fps. This occurs on vanilla minecraft 1.8.8 and minecraft 1.8.8 with optifine. And a couple of times it crashed (Crash report below).

Plays.tv apparently has recently pushed an update that causes crashes and or performance issues.
If your problem is NOT plays.tv then your problem might be more serious because your crash is in an internal VM thread. Generally you wouldn't expect them to crash unless you have some file or memory corruption happening (some kind of hardware issue).
Hi recently minecraft has been working fine until about 10 seconds after joining both single player and multiplayer worlds. In the first 10 seconds it will run at a normal 40-60fps then it will decrease and lock to an fps range of 14-16 fps. This occurs on vanilla minecraft 1.8.8 and minecraft 1.8.8 with optifine. And a couple of times it crashed (Crash report below).

Thanks for the help. It appears the problem was related to Plays.tv. I killed the Plays.tv process then ran Minecraft with no problems.
