Earlier today, I decided to try to enter some of my old minecraft world backups. These worlds were probably created in about 2012-2013. At that time, I had The Lord of the Rings mod 1.6.4 (I currently have 1.7.10). When I entered one of these worlds, however, I noticed something strange. Instead of the normal minecraft world, I was in a strange void filled with wooden and coal ore platforms, with dragon eggs everywhere. In fact, the sky itself seemed to be made of dragon eggs. Another weird thing is that all the zombies and skeletons seemingly wear dragon eggs as headgear, although the dragon egg is inside the monster's head and sticks out, giving the impression of a black visor. Every zombies also now holds a dragon egg, despite dragon eggs not being able to be dropped as an item, thus rendering it impossible for the zombies to pick them up. The world also crashes after a few minutes. While I don't know the reason for these weird glitches, it must have come from an error in the code. Since I was still running The Lord of the Rings mod, the error could not have come from being unable to load the "Middle Earth" dimension since the dimensions data would still exist in the new mod version I have. Is it possible to fix this error so I can play in my worlds again? This happens in all my backed-up worlds.
On a possibly related note, when I tried to play minecraft forge 1.6.4 to see if that would help, minecraft crashed. I don't know the reason for this.
