Right-click your Minecraft icon, then look at 'Run with Graphics Processor >'. If you have more than one graphics processor in your computer, then you'll see more than one selection here. Mine says 'High-performance NVidia processor (default)' and 'Integrated graphics'. On your computer, choose the one that relates to the video card where you want Minecraft to run, and see what happens.
If you get great performance by selecting a different graphics processor (or if you don't, because the High Performance GPU setting may not carry over from the launcher to java.exe), you can change the graphics processor setting for Minecraft in this right-click menu by selecting 'Change default graphics processor...'. You'll want 'c:/program files (x86)/minecraft/runtime/jre-x64/1.8/bin/java.exe' to run with the 'High performance NVidia processor' (or whatever brand of gaming graphics processor that's installed in your computer). You'll also want 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft\MinecraftLauncher.exe' to run with your High Performance graphics processor. Once you get those two things running on the High Performance GPU, then Minecraft should run great.
Can someone please help me?
I had a lot of viruses on my computer, so I decided to factory reset.
Before I reset, my computer handled Minecraft very well. But after I reset, it doesn't even get to 10fps
Can someone tell me what's wrong?
Here are my computer specs, if that will help
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4010U CPU @ 1.70GHz, 1701 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
I do not know what you mean by "Java Settings", but okay
I'll see about my Anti-Virus settings, though. Maybe a file isn't downloading?
I tried turning off all of my anti-virus software and downloading Minecraft. Results were the same as before
Things that could have changed:
1) GPU driver version
2) switchable graphics configuration that controls which GPU runs minecraft
3) minecraft settings
4) Java version / bitness
1) Unsure
2) Please tell me how to alter them
3) MC settings are as low as possible
4) Java is the latest and at 64x

Try this...

This probably would work, but I only have an Intel processor, and, in turn, I do not have the option to change the processor. Thanks anyway
