I've been having this problem since 1.8, and still in 1.9 and 1.10. When I use colored text on signs, the colors are slightly off, and too dark or too light to read, depending on the color. For example, white appears grey. I am currently running on the latest version of java, latest nvidia gfx driver, etc. With or w/o mods this bug occurs.
