So I updated to 64 bit Java. It fixes one problem and causes others. First off, I heard you need to explicitly make internet explorer 64-bit (if you have a 64 bit computer) to correctly install 64 bit Java, since by default IE is in 32 bits. However, I didn't use internet explorer to install it. I am using windows 10, so internet explorer is not accessible by default (It was replaced with Microsoft Edge). If I go into Microsoft Edge I have the option to open a page in IE however. Anyway, I couldn't figure out how to change IE or Edge to 64 bit, so I downloaded this 64-bit browser called Waterfox. From there I took the steps necessary to install 64-bit Java.
It did solve the Memory problem. I no longer get crashes from low memory or whatever memory problems I was dealing with. But it is causing a lot more problems. First of all, my fps has gone down a bit. For some reason, whenever I experience a ton of lag (mainly for the first minute when I first open a world), the sensitivity of my mouse skyrockets (I am using Optifine with sensitivity on 80%). I have been getting a few crashes that I should have gotten the crash report from. Whenever I am playing in a world and I press F11, the "display drivers" stop working and I have to restart the game. I believe this happened a few times when I was still using 32 bit Java but it happens much more frequently now. Lastly, I have had a few PC crashes, the ones where the blue screen comes up and it says "Windows has ran into some problems", and my laptop restarts. It says, "System Exception Not Handled" below those words.
I find this frustrating because I have read on some other threads (where very tech savvy people have done testing) that 32 bit Java causes most problems, and by updating to 64 bit you can fix some of them. Even Optifine says I can increase performance by updating to 64 bit. But it's the exact opposite. Apart from crashes presumably due to some memory issues (I don't know much about Java), 32 bit seems to be better than 64 bit. I'll also post this in the Support forums, seeing that I may get 'better' help there, although I see questions like this asked and answered all the time on the Discussion section and I may have better luck here. Anyone have any idea what may be causing these issues?

Contact Java to help you, you might have installed Java wrong.
If you get a error code or crash log again, please post it here. I can work with that
