I am using a Minecraft 1.7.2 Server so my friend and I can play the May Day adventure map together, but every time I load the server the game crashes. I have tried almost everything. The crash log is as pasted below. If anyone is smart enough to understand this, please help me out.

Your render distance is too high for that older version. Turn it down.
Oh ok. I solved it another way by deleting my .minecraft folder lol. but thanks though
deleting your .minecraft folder caused all your options to be reset to the defaults.
It also deleted lots of other things that didn't need to be deleted.
