I went to the official minecraft download link, but the main button didn't work. I went to the mirror links (https://minecraft.net/en/download/alternative) and had to download the second one (Windows|If you’re still having issues, you can try an older version of the Minecraft launcher. If given the option, save the file somewhere instead of running it, then double-click the program. This version will require you to have Java installed.). I logged in but there was only the load button where there should be play button. I tried deleting the .minecraft folder, I delted the launcher and downloaded it again, I uninstalled and reinstalled latest version of java, nothing worked. I have latest version 1.6.61.

Java: 8 Uptade 91

Minecraft Launcher: 1.6.61

Do you have windows?

Maybe it works when you reinstall java and Minecraft and restart your computer
