Hey Guys, thanks for stopping by to read and help out!
First off, I am a laptop noob, so I apologize in advance if I have made any stupid mistakes without knowing... I just finished my first year of college, and over the summer I have decided to get back into the Minecraft game. Only problem is I am having horrible frame rates and can't seem to figure out the problem. I believe my laptop can handle MC, and had hoped to play a modded minecraft on the ATlauncher, however I would like to be able to run Vanilla before tackling anything modded. Please tell me any settings/changes that I need to run Minecraft more smoothly, as well as any improvements that my ASUS laptop needs.
Hmm, going by your specs vanilla minecraft should run like butter.
Are you using the official launcher? Maybe try getting the latest drivers for your graphics, and setting minecraft to use your nvidia card.
also try ending ram hungry programs like chrome/firefox and skype. If you havent properly restarted in a while do that. I say again, your laptop (more like lap desktop) really should run this at 200 fps+. oh, and turn off vsync. does the framerate go up as the world loads around you? maybe do a defrag as well if your drive is well used
Hope some of this helps
