Hey all im new to this forum but not new to minecraft. I got a new PC a few months ago and got minecraft 1.10.1 and really enjoyed it. My gf and I played the single player world on LAN and we built like seriously the most massive epic spawn/arena/castle thing. It took us about 4 hours of playtime 3 consecutive days in a row. My point is we put A LOT of work into this world and were more exited about it than we ever have been on MC before.
On the third day its 6am time to call it a night. So she dissconnects and I click save and quit, and the game freezes The launcher claims it saved succesfully so I dont panic.
Log on yesterday morning and when I select the world, it starts building chunks around me but after a few seconds the game just crashes and closes. I tried changing back to default resource pack, changing render distance to 2, and FPS to unlimited just to see if I could get this thing to load. Well now it loads the blocks for about a minute or 2, but the second i try to move or fly the client crashes again.
On the launcher it gives me some line about openGL but idk if thats related. I mean it worked fine until the crash so idk how my settings would automatically be messed up but who knows. Im pretty desperate to fix this cause my girl is so mad about it she is refusing to play anymore unless she can continue building on that world and you know how awesome it is when you get your gf to actually get into a game with you. Its magical.
So I thought the game was currupted, however I loaded it into MCedit 2.0 and it does load everything up O.o so what the heck.
Somebody has suggested moving the spawn point on mcedit and walking around to find the specific chunk thats crashing the game. But A) I cant figure out how to do that on this mcedit version and im sectretly hoping theres another option.
I suppose if worst comes to worst I can save each structure as a schematic and re lay them on a new world but again it would take hours and hours to place the structures and make them look natural again.

Hey yall thanks for the quick reply
So I tinkered with MCedit all day and did figure out how to change my player position. I moved far away from the structures and loaded the game again. SO FAR SO GOOD! I navigated my way back to the structures and them raised the render distance. So as of now its working, but I'm still very skeptical.
Why would it crash earlier? Was there simply too much going on at the spawn point? I mean I have 16gb of ram so I dont understand why loading that would crash it. And why does it all of the sudden work now?
Girlfriend is exited but im scared to start working on the same world again, I just want to get to the bottom of what made it crash so it won't happen again.
So I guess theres no need for the log now? And ill upload the world if youre curious about the loading problems but I just want an experienced minecrafter opinion on what I should do next. Should I just periodically make backup copies of my world? Should I investigate further on which specific chunk was unable to load on startup? Like what would you do? Safest way possible. Thanks for yalls input -nazmax
Update we started playing and weird stuff happened. Stuff I was building was randomly dissapearing. We tried to save and quit to make a back up after playing about an hour and it froze again. Here is the crash report on pastebin: http://pastebin.com/qXBRxMi7

Hey guys this thread can be closed now, Ive pretty much figured it out. Since it updated to 1.10.2 the dissapearing blocks stopped happening. And as long as I dont close the client too close to the time my girl signs off the LAN game, then it doesnt freeze during saving anymore. Havn't had anymore problems, but I have been backing up my world every single play session I have just incase.
Thanks for the help -nazmax

Curse PremiumYou may be right. By the sounds of it, the world probably has some corrupted chunks, or the whole thing is just corrupted.
