1. Occasionally the launcher does that. Just restart it and it may fix that.
2. It doesn't matter if it says that the launcher is offline, as long as you can connect to the servers via multiplayer it doesn't mean anything, as far as I know.
3. Make sure your antivirus (if you have one) allows Minecraft to access the Internet.

2. Multiplayer doesn't load, and neither does my skin
and 3. My antivirus isn't blocking it
My launcher is stuck in offline mode.
It won't switch to online mode even though I AM online.
