I had this problem after I updated the game from version 1.3X (it's been a long time since I touched minecraft) and this problem popped up. I did the usually thing; go on the forums and searched "white outlines", came up with a solution from 2013 and it didn't help. I also asked Professor Google; didn't help either.
Then I uninstall and reinstalled the game, same results. Is there a solution to fix this?

Nvm, fixed the problem by installing Optifine.
