I've stopped playing minecraft for quite a long time and I have recently been trying to get back into it again. I have run minecraft before with no issues in this same computer but now it seems to lag a lot when I start it up every single time. It would turn on a 10-5 FPS menu screen with the music still running perfectly fine.
Things I've tried:
- I deleted the .minecraft folder and re-installed it
- Installed the latest version of Java windows x64
- Allocated more ram for minecraft, currently sitting at 4G of ram since I last tested it out
None of these things seem to make a single change, I will say that before I installed Java minecraft actually crashed everytime I went into single played but now it does boot up a world and does play decently. It seems to me that what ever is making this happen also affects things like the technic launcher. I've been trying to play one of the mod packs and the game doesn't start at all. So I first want to get to the root of this problem before trying to fix any mods.
