All day today, I have been struggling with the new 1.10 update. Once I updated, the game crashed every time I loaded a world or joined a server. I have gone back to earlier versions thay also crash. I have the latest intel drivers installed. I've also allocated more RAM to Minecraft and set VBO and VSync to On in Video Settings. Here is the crash report:
After
many hours of struggling because it kept crashing "Java(TM) platform SE
binary has stopped working", the only fault is because of the
intergrated intel graphic card. If your computer has 2 card, for example
a Intel onboard card and a Nvidia card, you just need to Disable the
Oboard card. Do like this ( win 8.1):
+ Right click on "My
computer" icon > Manage > device manager > display adapter >
( right click on the Intel Onboard card) > Properties > Driver
> Disable > Apply > Ok.
That's it, because no other
way have worked. I tried to update both of my Graphic cards, in vain.
"Debugging by Visual studio", nah. Re-install, nope. Turn on VBO, giving
the computer 2 GB RAM, still not working. Believe me, the only way left
is to disable the Onboard graphic card if you have a better Graphic
card. It's not a great sacrifice anyway.
ps: it's funny when
it crash even when I played as older update, like 1.9.4, so after
updateto 1.10, even if you play it or not, if it crash on your 1.10 then
it will crash on all of your older builds.

As you had the same rash report as mine, you may want to try how I solved this. Pls tell me if it work for you:
