I don't know if this is a client issue or a server issue, but I'm just going to put it here because I feel its the better place.
Anyways, I am trying to join a server, but every time I try to join an error occurs. The banner says there are multiple people on the server. When I click 'join server' it says 'logging in...' until it stops and says '[server name] is currently under construction.' I happen to know a staff member on the server and he says there is no problem for all the rest of the players joining. Is this my problem or the server's? Either way, is there a fix?
Both the server and my Minecraft are on 1.8.9. Other servers are working perfectly fine. I did have a problem where my Servers.dat file was corrupted and all my servers disappeared from my list recently but i restored that to an earlier point, and it was fixed. Any ideas?

Curse PremiumDoes the server have a whitelist (you need to sign up or be invited to join)? This is something that the server admins need to address.
