I'm on a 1.10 pre release and I'm playing on a mac with 32gb ram,i allocated it to full and I'm getting a ton of lag and its using a ton of ram on my world.is there a way to decrease use of ram?i don't want my computer to overheat.the only thing in my world is a really epic ship with 300+ guns and a shipwreck on a ton of water.when i press alt+f3 the chart goes on yellow n 60 fps for few secs and then red at 30 fps for a bit then it goes over the line at 5 to 20 fps.what can i do?
The problem is you are using too much ram. You the computer may say 32 GB ram, but you have to realize that your operating system and other underlying programs take up a bit of that. Try lowering the allocated ram. I played 1.10 pre with 1 GB allocated out of my 4GB ram and it was absolutely fine.
