So, I download the installer from the minecraft site AND from the Mojang download manager thing. It installs properly up until it gets to the 40.34 MB download of the runtime. Immediately following this, it says "failed to start runtime environment. This may be caused by corruption. Please reinstall." or something along those lines. This has happened from from fresh downloads and I have no idea what to do. I'm on Windows 10 (not downloading the Windows 10 version because, as far as I can tell, there isn't a way to do that from the Minecraft site).
