So I finally got Minecraft to work again, all my blocks are saving and everything is good. Then now as I'm building my bridge I see a sudden drop in my FPS. It gets worse every second for 3 seconds and then the screen darkens. The screenshots are what my game looks like now.
I'm using Optifine, Forge, and MrMeep's UltraPlus shader
Disable the shaders, or just try running vanilla. That'd rule out a radroach inside your graphics card, or, more realistically, a graphics driver issue.
