Ok, so I was on my friend's realm, and I build this great slime farm. I was walking into it to see if any slimes had spawned. When I got near it, it just disappeared! Someone please tell me what the heck is going on!
You were more than 32 blocks away from it, and slimes have a 1/800 chance to despawn per game tick. So a slime's chance of despawning per sec is 1/40. You were at the right place at the wrong time.
