I stopped playing Minecraft long ago but decided to play it again with the new update and stuff. I download it and everything for 1.9.4 but it lags soooo bad. The Map takes ages to load and even after its loaded theirs extreme FPS lag to like 1 Frame!!! It slows down little but still it is very unplayable even with OPTIFINE! i tried to go on a multiplayer server to see if it was just single player but it turns out its on there too. My computer specs are:
AMD HD Radeon 6950 1 GB
I5 intel core 3.5 Ghz
8gb installed ram
4gb of virtual memory.
The Things i have tried already:
-Installed optifine, little difference
-Reduced in-game settings, same thing
-Installed Java 64 bit and allocated more memory to Java with High Performance, no difference still same problem. (uninstalled java afterwards)
-clean reinstall of Minecraft AGAIN and nothing changed
-tried changing the JVM arguments for more memory, nothing
-Defragged HardDrive7 times, nothing
-checked anti-viruse, nothing
-tried running older versions of Minecraft but same thing
-Forge mods lag even more btw
Just so you know i can play the game "World of Tanks" and "GTA 5" 40 FPS high graphics no FPS lag. But i cant seem to play a block game at even a steady 10 FPS. If you can please help me that would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much
Wow... you've certainly baffled me. Could you please click on edit profile, then tick the Launcher Visibility box and select this?
Then log into MineCraft. When your fps drops as you explained, screenshot anything unusual in the launcher; such as error messages, ''Can't keep up'' messages, etc. Maybe this will yield some light onto the matter... if there is nothing wrong in the launcher log, I'm out of ideas. Hopefully you're able to sort this out. =/
As a side note, (no offence intended!) I considered the possibility that this was simply a troll post; your listed system specifications should be far more than capable of running MineCraft at great performance, at the highest settings.
Edit:
Could you please press F3 in MineCraft, and screenshot your entire monitor? I'd like to see if the game is actually using your GPU, or if it's defaulting to your i5's integrated graphics.
