I've had a lot of problems with my computer since the last time I wiped it out.
One being that my AMD Drivers can't update past: (says that the update was successful and tells me to restart my PC but it doesn't actually update.)
Next up when streaming/recording with OBS studio/multiplatform as soon as the game is hooked with game capture if I try to maximize or resize the game window my minecraft/java crashes.
Right now I'm experiencing an issue where while playing on 1.7.10 with these mods(MAGIC LAUNCHER w/FORGE):
I tend to crash randomly after respawning from a death.
I have an AMD 4100 Quad-Core Processor and 16 GB of ram.
I also do have the lastest version of Java installed and I've done a complete re-installation of Minecraft, Java and my AMD drivers.
Nothing has worked and I'm wondering if this random crash could be solved. The other issues I posted before this aren't solved and I'm not directly asking for support on that right now because this is more important.
I don't believe Magic Launcher works well anymore. You should try NOT using it.
That said, people tend to yell at me for being wrong, so you'll know if I'm wrong then.
Yeah I just haven't installed mods normally since 2014 because I just started playing again and this seems to be the easiest. Not sure if there's any specific order I would have to install the mods in and if I would need minecraft coder pack if thats the right thing? idk
ALSO! Let me just add that another reason why I don't use the normal launcher is because of this extremely annoying visual bug in the launcher.
I have the same bug too sometimes, but I learned to live with it. As for the mods, you can seperate mod versions within folders in the mod folder now so you don't need to do stuff like dragging mods out to play on a different version now. I used to use Magic Launcher all the time, but I haven't in awhile. I still think its a good tool, but I haven't been playing enough recently to justify using it.

Alright so this all does work for 1.7.10 with Forge.
I have my 1.7.10 version.
and I have my mods.
Now how would I easily switch to 1.8 and use 1.8 mods to play on servers. I use the versions profile but does it know which mods to use and which not to use? (only the 1.7.10 mods are in that folder right now. and there is a bug ingame with one of them and I may have to get a different forge version but that doesn't matter rn)
This is a driver error. Yes, AMD drivers tend to be often break during installation. Do a clean reinstallation of your drivers.
I've done a clean re-installation multiple times without success. Though while switching to the normal launcher I no longer crash, but I still do get this weird visual bug in the launcher.
I have recently opened a ticket on the AMD forums looking for help so I'll wait until then but everything else seems to work fine.

It's really not that hard to install mods. It use to be slightly harder, but now it's pretty easy.
edit: That is weird, but you should be able to select "edit profile" and edit it without it doing all that...
Again, it is really simple, and you only have to do one thing in the launcher.

Just make folders for each version in the mods folder, and drop the mods you want for each version inside them. Example:
