I've been getting a glitch with distant leaves for a while, but only at certain angles, as in the first attachment. However, if I turn just a little, the glitch goes away, as seen in the second attachment.
Please don't tell me to "just google it", because I don't know how to describe the glitch well enough to do that. I could just live with it, but I'm wondering if there's anything I can do about it, such as changing Optifine settings or something.
That looks like a culling or z-fighting issue, may be settings-related or video driver... Another couple of things to try is to go into the Video Settings and check your 'mipmap' and 'Use VBOs' settings. Change 'mipmap' to '4' if it's off, or change it to 'off' if it's set to 4 (this might affect your framerate though). Also, check the 'Use VBOs' setting, turn it 'off' if it's on, or turn it 'on' if it's off. If you have Optifine, play with the Video Settings -> Detail -> Trees... or Video Settings -> Performance -> Fast Render... Experiment until you find something that works. If all else fails, you might try to find an updated video driver for your video card (be careful, some versions of Intel and AMD video drivers are broken, post which video card you're using and someone else may be able to help with video driver issues).
I don't find a "Use VBOs" setting, but I can try some of those others. I have an nVidia GeForce 780 (and an i7-4770k as my cpu, though not overclocked), so I'm not too worried about the framerate. I checked my driver version, and I have 364.72, but it looks like there's a new driver version out today, so I'll grab that before experimenting with the settings.
Edit: turning off mipmaps seems to have done the trick, so it's probably related to how Minecraft doesn't support partial transparency for most block textures (I think it must do something special for stained glass, though).

This might be a Texture pack issue, have you tried looking at the leaves with the default texture pack, or with some other texture pack?
Yes, it still happens with default textures, and also with Soartex Fanver Universal textures (which I already had downloaded).
Did you google it? (just kidding!)
