I have a labyrinth of problems on my computer dedicated to Minecraft. I'm trying to upgrade the ram allocation to 3GB but I can't do that at all. I've tried downloading Java 64 Bit offline because my computer is a 64 bit processor. I do that, and then something else happens. Minecraft can't connect to the internet at all. Any other type of java I use doesn't all me to get past the first barrier of pressing Play on the updates menu. When I get through Playing Offline and I enter my world, Minecraft crashes. I can't use the other Minecraft launcher that isn't dependent on Java because it won't work at all. I can't find out why it doesn't work. It gives me absolutely no reason to why it doesn't work, it just crashes after pressing Play Offline and it doesn't connect to Mojang's Updates Menu. So, if anyone can help me get past this problem of using the older Minecraft.exe application reliant on java for upgrading gigs on the game, then please help.

AVG's antivirus program is known to interfere with Minecraft's self-update process. You will have to disable AVG's LinkScanner feature for Minecraft to update itself properly. To turn it off, follow these directions:http://www.avg.com/ww-en/faq.num-4498#tba5
Alternatively, use a different AV program, such as avast! Antivirus
The problem is that Minecraft won't allow me to allocate the ram. I know the process necessary but Minecraft literally refuses the order. I have the latest version of java, but it isn't the 64 bit. I might need the 64 bit because I have a 64 bit processor. When I download 64 bit, Minecraft crashes when I try to play with the crash report that I posted a few comments above. The 64 bit java is actually well known to cause problems and there still isn't a well known way to bypass the problem.

uh how much ram are you trying to allocate, and how much ram do you actually have? It sounds like you have an APU so allocating too much ram is a very bad idea.
I have 8GB Total ram and a total of 6.7 free. I want to allocate 3. I'm also not a computer noob, I know how computers work and of the simple functions and fundamentals necessary like don't overload your computer, so you can skip those types of questions.

Can you post crash log so we can check what was the cause of the problem?
Any reason you're trying to allocate more ram to minecraft in the first place? More ram does not equal more FPS.

I'm trying to allocate more ram due to the fact that the mods are needing more.

Curse PremiumI know how to allocate more RAM...for your mod profile (forge) you should click edit first.
There should be a window... click the check box next to JVM Arguements then
where it says -Xmx#128M replace 128M with (depending on what your RAM is) 1-10G (I recommend 3G) then save your profile.
Sidenote:
You might want to try installing the latest version of Java it could just be your RAM is low from a outdated Java version.
Launch your game and see if the RAM is good if it is... Perfect!
If it isn't then try increasing the RAM by 1G again.
To see if a change in the RAM definitely happened you should press F3 and look at the top right corner where it says
"Allocated memory:" if that was hard to understand then just check the photo attachments with this post.

Curse PremiumAlso about that last post just do that steps after you find out the problem with your Minecraft... I'm sorry if I didn't read it clearly enough.

Curse PremiumMaybe you should just get a new computer...:(
Something in your network stack is messed up.
You can reset it back to a clean state by doing a "netsh winsock reset" in an elevated (Admin) CMD window.
See here if you need detailed instructions: http://www.home-network-help.com/netsh-winsock.html
