just got a laptop for my kid. downloaded minecraft. worked for a day or so. windows 10 is the system.

now when we click on the minecraft app to open it, the launcher pops up. then we click play, and it crashes and takes us back to the start screen.

Any ideas? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it without improvement.

Did they change anything? Or did you?

no he says no mods whatsoever, no other downloads on the pc yet. we are running webroot for security.

What about the version, did you change that?

its the 1.9

1.9.4, 1.9.3, 1.9.2, 1.9.1, or 1.9.0?

And have you changed it?

Is it Minecraft Cracked? or did you buy it?

1.9.4 no changes

Can you give us the crash report?

(The text on the launcher when it crashes)

If It's a Cracked Minecraft Then Try To download another Luncher!

I already told him to do that...

it was bought straight off minecraft site. don't know what cracked is.

when I reclick on minecraft this is what the launcher log says

Go to %appdata% in you file browser, and find crash reports. Give us the crash file in there.

sorry not sure how to get to appdata folder.

it doesn't take me back to launcher when it crashes it just goes to home screen. when I reopen it I get what I posted.

Click the file icon on the desktop, click the bar on the top, type "%appdata%," go into ".minecraft," go to "crash reports," then give us the newest file in there.
