Hi all!
I am gonna try to make this short. I have an older mac book (mid 2007) running 10.7 OSX lion with latest available Java, that has a few mild upgrades to RAM, etc. I am gonna be completely honest, I just want to play minecraft with the galacticraft mods. So whether that be 1.6.2 or 1.7.2 or whatever other version, I just want it to run those mods. I have borrowed a version of it to play on my laptop before so I know it works. I hesitate to purchase however because the demo does not work on my laptop. Is that just because the demo is the newest version that is compatible with 10.8 osx and beyond? Any help greatly appreciated! Even if its fingers pointed in the correct direction!
What about low performance? I don't mind playing with low graphics and short render distance. I am just trying to figure out what bare minimum version I would be able use. Thanks for the replies!

I see. Try the 1.9 if you make sure it won't lag there.

Post your full system specifications of your old Mac Book.

Any other info needed?
Also, I will mostly be playing offline....like 95% of the time
With this, you would not be able to play Minecraft with high performance due to your laptop hardware's age.
