I was playing Minecraft PE and it had a difficulty setting. I can't find that in the pc edition. Is there such a thing in the pc edition? Or a mod or something that allows us to lower the difficulty setting?
I just started a few days ago, and I've died like 4 times already. Its getting very frustrating. So much so, I'm scared to venture into the caves lol
Yes, you can change your difficulty, assuming you didn't lock the difficulty, which I'm assuming you didn't because you couldn't find the option.
All you have to do is open your Options menu and in the upper-right hand corner there's a button you can click to change the difficulty. In Minecraft 1.8+, the difficulty is saved separately for each world; so you have to log into a singleplayer world to change the difficulty.
I locked the difficulty in my singleplayer world, but yours shouldn't be. You should be able to click the button to change your difficulty.
If you did somehow lock the difficulty (1.8+ only), you can download NBTExplorer and unlock it. If you need an explanation I can provide it.
