I have minecraft 1.9 on my macbook pro the newest one and everytime i play in single player i have block lag and the animals dont move they move very slow and laggy ita very bad. Multiplayer is fine everything is good but single player is very bad does anyone now what to do plz help.

Try lowering the settings or Optifine.
