Its not an internet problem, my brother is on the same internet i will try downloading java to check if it isnt updated and thats the reason of the problem
Edit: Java did nothing

This is not normal. There is something wrong with your computer's internet connection or configuration. It does not take 17 minutes to download a little tiny version XML or JSON file (whichever it is).
This is how long it takes on my system

it used to take me less than a second too,these days it isnt working at all for me..
its working on my brother's computer so i suppose this is from my computers settings (i found your answer correct also since my computer's been acting very bad using internet..)
what do you suggest me to do?

Here is a Problem i am Having with Minecraft's Launcher
The Problem:
When i open the launcher,i didn't find the start button
(Example:
)
This usually Gets fixed whenever i restart the launcher but this time it didnt,
i went on to check the Launcher Log
and this was the Text in it

What i tried:
1.Restarting The launcher
2. Deleting Some versions
3. Waiting 15Minutes for it to load
4. Opening as adminstrator
5. Deleting Versions Folder
6. Installing a New Launcher
7. Restarting my PC
8. Disable Antivirus
9. Add minecraft launcher to firewall
EDIT:
Yesterday RIGHT after posting this post it worked, i just closed the launcher and re-opened it today,
retrying this today when the problem re-occured and it didnt work ;-;
Try resetting your router since it might cause this problem to surface.
I Disconnected my Internet and it worked
It either worked because of me disconnecting the internet (which is now limited lol)
or because it finished loading..
(I left it working for a while now,but why does it work now not when i left it half an hour in the morning)
