I made the mistake of summoning an Ender Dragon in my main world and have since been unable to remove them. Weaponry has no appreciable effect - it often passes right through the dragon. Nothing has thus far disturbed the dragon from its routine of flapping its wings and hovering motionlessly.

Can I get rid of it? If so, how?
