Previously I was using a hacked version of Minecraft (I know, I know - but honestly I thought I'd hate the game and had no intention of keeping it long term). After being really impressed with the hacked version and DYING to use the full paid-for version, I bought it last night.
Kind of wish I hadn't
The version I have is 1.6.61, the launcher itself looks bugged.
The Minecraft logo only shows "Mine" for starters and the end of the "Register" button isn't even visible.
(I have added a picture to show this, one is minimized the other is full-screen)
The message at the top says:
"You're already logged in with 51 different users.
You may use one of these accounts and skip authentication."
It then gives me a drop-down menu of all of these usernames (they're accidental accounts that my 4 year old made in the hacked version, when he's button mashing lol).
Thing is, I can select a username, but there is no button to continue. I just sit there, doing jack all.
So of course I try the next option.
I have entered my 'Email Address or Username:' that is valid with my Mojang account.
Enter my 'Password', hit the 'Register' button at the bottom.
All that seems to do is open Mozilla and request that I register or log-in with Mojang.
So I log-in and it just takes me to my 'games' screen. Where again I sit and do nothing.
I'm just logged into my Mojang account, but it doesn't affect my Minecraft launcher.
It doesn't seem to be consistent, but occasionally I won't receive an error message when attempting a log in.
Mostly though, I get half an error message, which says:
"Sorry, but your userna
Please try again. If you need
(InvalidCredentialsEx"
I've tried highlighting the entire screen etc but there is no way to scroll to the right and view the entire message.
I have uninstalled the old, hacked version.
I realised later on that you cannot attempt to log-in several times in a row without semi-locking your account, so I left it over night to give it a chance to stop being annoying. Hasn't done much but peak my annoyance again lol.
Wondering if anyone can help? I'm pretty useless with computers, but my bf should have few problems following someone elses instructions. Cheers in advance!
Looks like you are trying to log in in the fake Minecraft. Because of this, sorry, cracked or hacked launcher cannot be helped here, unfortunately. Plewse buy the game.
Your account probably has been hacked since you used a hacked client. Either make a new account or try to have your account corrected by Mojang Customer Service.

This is the paid-for version of Minecraft.
I uninstalled the hacked version and bought the real one yesterday.
I had no problems logging into the fake one.
Is your account premium, to be sure?
Well, if I log into my Mojang account and try to purchase Minecraft, I get this message:

Buy Minecraft
You already own Minecraft
You are currently not allowed to own more than one copy of Minecraft per account. You can however buy Minecraft as a gift."
Does that make my account premium? I don't know how it all works.
I see. That means your account is already premium since you bought it.
