Hello, I just installed linux on my computer for other reasons than gaming, but I thought I'd give minecraft a try. When I tried launching it for the first time I was greeting with a crash log.

I dont think Liniux OS doesnt support java or minecraft.
Strange, my first install of this OS I was able to run minecraft just fine.
Hmm... So did you try 1.8?
I just tried it, and it seems to have the same error. I literally had the working a few hours ago.
So Hmm... try restarting your OS and updating java
I'll give that a shot.
