In my knowledge, the issue you had is logging in. You have forgotten the password in Minecraft and then you sent to Mojang the ticket to recover the passwords. Just to paraphrase what you said.
Although, the only issue in this thread was that you just only forgot the password.
After 3 incorrect login attempts, a lockout is placed automatically by Mojang's systems on your network to protect accounts against brute force attacks to gain access.
This lockout is automatic and cannot be overridden, it expires after 3 hours. Wait 3 hours, don't log in at all. Reset your password using https://account.mojang.com/password -- then try again.
If you then still have issues contact Mojang, only they can help further

My password does not work today either. I can still change it, but no matter what I change it to, I can not log into the game.
No, I have not attempted more than three times in any three hour period.
I tried to log in to minecraft.net today and it told me my password was incorrect. At this point I could still log into the game client just fine.
So I requested a password change e-mail. It showed up in the correct e-mail for the account, registered to my account. Hurray!
I used the link to create a new password. It told me the password change worked! Hurray!
Now I can't log in to the game client OR the website... yay...
My internet is working fine. There are no firewalls blocking connection. There have been no problems with me getting on to my account until now.
The e-mail for my account is correct. I have already put in a help request on the website.
Does anyone have any suggestions or information to help me understand what is going on?

My issue is that I changed my password five times now, and whatever I make my new password will not let me log in.
I am fully capable of changing the password, but it does not work.
The password I made does not work.
I did not forget the password I just made. It simply does not work.

Thank you. I was looking for that information. It would be nice if the system at Mojang or the game client informed me of this.
