So, I've been having this issue where anytime I try to edit the resource packs, or add shaders, I crash.
My system is Windows 7 Professional, and uses 64bit. I currently use Java 64bit for the Windows ( Even though certain packs want me to use Java 8, which itself makes ATLauncher, my main launcher, unstable and crash ) .
I can play the game as normal, running it with or without mods, without any issues. The only issues I have, for ATL at least, is whenever I go into the resource packs thing to change one, when I click "Done", this pops up, and it crashes ( Thankfully the pack I chose still works, it's just annoying ) .
Now I've finally figured out, sort of, how to use Forge ( 1.8.9 ) , and so I downloaded the correct version of Optifine, and a shader ( I forget which, but I don't think it's really that important ) . I also have an MCPatcher profile ( Which I tried to use for mods, but since I can't figure out how to use jar files with it, I've given up on it ) .
I copied and pasted the log that appeared on my Minecraft launcher ( Which I use with Forge, obviously ) , so hopefully this helps? I get the error when I try to enable my shaders ( Or, I think that's what I'm doing? I go into the "Shaders" tab and click on Internal, and that's when it crashes ) , as well as when I click "Done" when editting my resource packs. If needed, I can include the log from the resource pack crash. The one down below is from it crashing when I try to enable shaders.
So ... you've got a whole bunch of texture packs with non standard textures that Optifine complains about and tries to rescale to load them properly.
And then every resource pack gets purged because you ran out of space in the texture atlas (likely due to the act most of your non standard textures had to be scaled up).
Other then that there's no sign of any crash here.
... -Facepalm- It isn't "a whole bunch" , I only ever load two or three at once ( Disabling them as I check them out ) when I'm trying to decide upon a new pack to use.. And when I choose one, I only use that one.. Not to mention, but my favorite texture packs actually require Optifine or MCPatcher. So please, don't reply to threads needing help if you're just going to assume crap and not actually comment anything useful.. I really don't like people like that.. You can't assume anything with these things, because the issues aren't always just because someone is using too much at once.
