You do not have a proper OpenGL supporting graphics driver installed.
If you in fact have the best driver installed already then your hardware doesn't have full support on Windows 10 and will not work with Minecraft PC edition.
On the other hand lots of people think they have an up to date driver but don't in actual fact.
That means there is no OpenGL supporting driver available. The final OS with OpenGL support is Windows 8.1
Some people can get some Intel's to run minecraft on Windows 10, with the Windows 8.1 driver if and only if they use the right version of Java (the version that came with the Minecraft MSI installer worked but will presumably be updated at some point to a more recent version).
This is a precarious place to be obviously.
IF it was working and now doesn't, that change probably coincides with changing your Java version and crossing over....
so my thought is right about the time that minecraft stopped working in
My thought is that probably it stopped working when i had iObit products installed on PC for the 1st time, containing Driver Booster, so they changed in drivers
so is there any way to revert or work around the issue?
btw thanks for the link to my cpu's downloads page, i never found it even with a lot of searching times probably im using wrong keywords lol
Hi, I was playing minecraft on Windows 10 1st time then suddenly it never works with the error NullPointerException Null
I tried running on many Windows 10 builds (including stable and insider builds (ALL from Build: 10240 and +))
I tested many launchers, 1st I tested Original launcher... nothing works after that error
>> PLEASE Don't say "update graphics driver" because it changes nothing + it's up to date already
LOG FILE: http://dpaste.com/3MBR8NA
note that i tried running without any mods, and tried with mods
INFO:
-Graphics: Intel HD Graphics (Internal graphics chip inside the CPU)
-CPU: Intel Core-i5 650 (Duel Core) 3.2GHz (1st Gen)
-RAM: DDR3 8GB (4GB 2GB 0GB 2GB)
--RAM for Minecraft: 3GB
-Resolution: 1366x768
-Current OS: Windows 10 14316
---Tested Minecraft on Windows 10 Builds:
----10240: Working then stopped forever...
----etc.......: doesn't work
Note: on Windows 7 it works normally
Your CPU looks quite old. But WIndows 10 does not work in your PC. As a result, try reverting back to Windows 7.
Post the whole log, not just the name of the exception.
Thanks but I want to solve the problem on Windows 10. Windows 7 is really bad to replace Windows 10
btw I didn't even update from Windows 7, so downgrading isnt an option
and I have already Windows 7 installed on another partition
but again: I wanna solve the problem on Windows 10
Reserved. (I'll edit when I get the log, after a few minutes)
EDIT:
See post #1, I added a link

ill try iObit Driver Booster to make sure about the updates
edit:
it says that Intel HD Graphics is up to date
but java isnt
...updating all which need updating
edit 2:
updated, still not working
Did more digging.
This is a 1st generation i5.
There are no drivers available from Intel for this chipset and Windows 10: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81503/
