the second -Xmx entry overrides the first, to only give it about half a gb of ram maximum.
how do i fix that?
If you're using the default launcher, use the Edit Profile button, and remove that extraneous -Xmx entry from the JVM arguments.
i deleted JAVA_OPTIONS, and in the crash log it still says -Xmx512M. i checked the jvm arguments under edit profile it only has my input (-Xmx4G)
