[p]Trying to add a map to minecraft and I can't find the folder that's supposed to be under Library/Application support. I'm running [/p]
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5. I was able to find where the folder SHOULD be from other posts talking about Mac's library being hidden and all that, but it's not there. Have a feeling that it has something to do with my external drive, which I back everything up onto. I also tried redownloading Minecraft to see if that would help but no luck. Is there a way to download just this application support folder? Thanks![/p]
You're in the wrong Library folder. You need to go to the one in /Users/yourusernamehere/Library/Application Support/ It will be there, you were looking at the system library
It's not in there either though.. There's a screenshot here of my User folder and it doesn't even have a library or anything resembling a library. :/ Unless I'm still missing something here.
It didn't show an option for show library folder in that for me BUT it led me to click around and I was able to find the folder from going to the GO tab, clicking Go to folder and entering ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft. Thank you!!!
No problem! Also, sorry that it did't show an option for Show Library Folder. I'm on Mac OS X El Capitan, and you're on Lion, so I should check my compatibility more often

Go to your user folder (Go -> Home), right-click on the background, click "Show View Options", and check "Show Library Folder"
