Ill give you some links for Optifine, which will probably give you a FPS boost if you change the settings around a little bit. (If you set all animations off, then you will get about a 20 FPS boost, at least for me).
Try deleting the programs and the files that you don't need anymore. Also, try scanning for viruses, since viruses are fairly the cause of computer slowness.

After the 1.9 update i have been getting really horrible frames per second. So i was wondering how i can fix this issue?
The laptop that i am running is a ProBook 6550b.
Edit: Just checked Windows 10 minecraft and that one works perfectly for me. :/

Already tried it. Didn't do much of anything for me.
Set your render distance to "tiny" and lower the settings as possible.
