So I was playing Direwolf20 Redblocker's modpack with a couple of extra mods added on top of that. Everything was fine until I went to the Twilight Forest and got to the Ice Fortress. All of the sudden my game went into super-lag mode and crashed my computer a few minutes after that. I assumed it was a tick related issue so I started back up, got out of the Twilight Forest, and made my way back to my base. It crashed my computer again. I have tried a bunch of different things to alleviate the issue, including destroying my world, uninstalling Curse, updating Windows, updating my graphics drivers, and starting a whole new world, fresh. It still crashes my computer after just a couple minutes of playing. It seems like every time I get to a point in Minecraft where I can start to get all the ins and outs of the advanced mods down, I have some problem. I've about had enough of Minecraft all together at this point. I love the game, I love the mods, I even love it without mods, but it just seems like there is never a stable version that has all of the mods in working order. Something is always broken. I understand that there's conflicts between some mods, and I always manage to work around those, but when you work so hard to get to the endgame stuff and it's all WIP or just not even implemented at all, it can be very frustrating. Then you find out that the person working on the mod has no intention of continuing on that version and has moved on to working on the next version. Can't we just hold off on new versions for a little bit so all of the modders can get their mods in working condition? It would be nice to have a version that was at least as stable as 1.5.2 was. I'm half tempted to go back to that version just so I at least know what issues I'm dealing with. I play video games to alleviate stress from everyday life, not to create a simulation of the stress of everyday life. Can someone please suggest that we get a working, modded version before moving forward again? At least a decent version of the Direwolf20 pack so we can play around with the mods?
