So when I'm in a map the fps would run at ~500 but then a sudden spike of fps causes it to freeze and then the fps would show up at ~40 and go back up to 500 again.
would recommend optifine since it removes the lag spikes you are getting. This mod should be a standard when playing this game no matter how good your pc may be.

128 gb ssd
1 tb harddrive

Moderatordid you change the ram allocation for minecraft? if so post what you use, you may've changed a value you should've left alone
