ive added it to the firewall. still the same issue. how do i forward ports?
Well this is usally done in the Router of your Network.. goto PortForward.com they may have a guide for your particular router.. You may also need to reserve your IP or setup a Static One on the pc you play Minecraft on..
port forwarding is for when you host a server, not for playing on one, is shouldn't make a difference.
try doing a Hijack This Log so we can see what maybe causing the issue

yes tell that to my computer as that is what solved it..It will not hurt to try either way.. this I had the same problem getting booted every 2 minutes and after I forwared the port voila it works no problems.. I know it is supposed to be only for hosting but apparently not..

Try to put Minecraft to exclusions in firewall.
I had the same problem I had to forward port 25565TCP & UDP..
