Ok so my minecraft sound will not work at all... I have tried everything please list everything possible that I can do and I will try it again I havent been able to play minecraft now for almost 3 months because I do not have sound and It drives me crazy not having it... please help!!!
You could have sound problems because the sound assets don't download successfully.
But the only way for us to know whether the problem is a lack of sound files to play or a problem playing them we need to see the logs from the launcher log tab and the game output tab

No sound at all?
Presuming you're on windows...
Right click the sound icon on your taskbar, click "Open volume mixer"
Make sure MC shows up in it, and make sure your correct sound device is selected (In my case, Speakers (Logitech G930 Gaming Headset))
Make sure your sound is turned up in MC (options - music & sounds...)
Make sure your sound device isn't mute, and check that it's selected as the default sound device:
Right click the sound icon in your taskbar again, palyback devices, make sure there's a check next to your device:
All else fails, reinstall Minecraft (copy your saves folder to another location if you wish to keep your worlds).
Also, make sure your graphics drivers and sound card drivers (if you have one) are up to date, and try different speakers/headset.
