I've got Optifine and SEUS set up on my Minecraft install, but I'm getting very poor performance. I think that I have sufficient computer to be able to run things smoothly, but for whatever reason Minecraft seems to not be making full use of things.
Sorry, I posted a screenshot which I hoped would help clarify some of those vague terms.
System is an 8 Core i7-2600 (3.4GHz), 16GB DDR3 RAM, with AMD Radeon R9 200 Series. Minecraft is installed on an SSD.
By "poor performance", I mean that I'm only getting 4-15 FPS, which seems low for a system with those specs, I would think? (Are my expectations there off?) And even at those levels, when you look around, there is noticeable stutter.
I've tried running with and without the arguments, as well as with a reduced set that only sets the allocated memory, and neither seem to have much impact, honestly.
First reaction: "What? That can't be right. How could a major hardware maker neglect such a major game?"
After research: "....****."
That said, I did manage to wring some further performance out of the card with this knowledge in hand. I dropped SEUS and went with Chocapik13's shaders, which seems a lot less demanding. Another thing which (strangely) seems to have an effect is running the game fullscreen, rather than windowed, which seems to result in a +10FPS gain. <shrug> With that configuration, I'm running at 30-40 FPS, which is bearable.
Thanks for the help! At least I can stop searching knowing that the problem is effectively out of my hands.
