I have a couple questions about converting from 1.8 to 1.9.
(Sorry, I'm new to the whole "versions" part of Minecraft)
Now I HAVE played a game in 1.9 (creative).
I started a new world, and placed down some End Dragon heads. I also held the "wings" in my hotbar inventory.
I swapped back to 1.8, and entered the world again. The dragon heads were now Skeleton heads, and the wings in my hand, had now turned into a huge black and pink checkered block. I guess because 1.8 couldn't load the 1.9 items.
So if I do the OPPOSITE of this (make a 1.8 world, then play it in 1.9)
WILL I LOSE ANYTHING IN THAT 1.8 WORLD? Will it glitch out? What will happen to the world, since the new 1.9 items probably can't load in a 1.8 world?
I just need someone to explains what happens when transferring between 1.8 and 1.9.

Thanks.
No upgrading will save you items because they are in both updates. The 1.9 to 1.8 glitched because 1.8 cant read 1.9 items and blocks.
So all of my 1.8 stuff will be saved when I upgrade?
Yes it should be.
